LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say they're looking for three men in a shooting that wounded one person and sent others running from a Las Vegas Strip shopping mall. Las Vegas police say seven people were involved in an argument just before the Tuesday shooting at the Fashion Show Mall. Authorities say one man received a neck wound. The wounded man later walked into a northwest Las Vegas hospital with injuries that aren't described as life-threatening.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 30-year-old Nevada ex-convict has been indicted on attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and multiple other felony charges after he was accused of exchanging gunfire with Las Vegas police during a vehicle chase last month. Joshua Bacharach is due for arraignment July 28. Bacharach is being held at the Clark County jail without bail.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A new federal earthquake map dials up the shaking hazard just a bit for about one-third of the United States including Nevada. The U.S. Geological Survey updated its national seismic hazard maps for the first time since 2008. Nevada is one of 16 states considered to have the highest risk for earthquakes.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Magicians Siegfried & Roy are welcoming three new snowy white lion cubs to their Secret Garden habitat on the Las Vegas Strip. The 14-week-old felines were born near Johannesburg, South Africa, and brought to the Mirage casino three weeks ago. They will be available for public viewing starting tomorrow.
