DALTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities in Michigan say a shirtless man carrying a 4-foot metal pipe charged a sheriff's cruiser before being thrown onto the windshield of the vehicle.
According to Muskegon County sheriff's officials, a deputy had no time to react when the 20-year-old Twin Lake man charged toward the cruiser late Sunday in Dalton Township. The vehicle's windshield was damaged.
Sheriff's Lt. Shane Brown says the suspect appeared to be "under the influence of mind-altering drugs."
A report on the incident, which was caught on camera, says the man "claimed he was from the Planet Zoltron."
The suspect faces a number of charges.
