BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Department of Transportation says planned increases of 75 to 80 mph on some portions of interstates in Idaho are being delayed. The agency says it wants to review comments since it announced earlier this week the increased speed limits. New speed limit signs were scheduled to go up on Tuesday.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Bail has been set at $1 million for an Arizona man who was wounded in a shootout with a dozen law enforcement officers on Interstate 90 in northern Idaho. The Spokesman-Review reports police say 24-year-old Marcus Rael remains hospitalized in stable condition following the shooting on Sunday. The Kootenai County Sheriff's office declined to list his injuries.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — The family of a northern Idaho man is contending he became disabled due to a stroke caused by a police stun gun. The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that the family of 64-year-old Marvin Ball filed a lawsuit earlier this month against Kootenai County, the city of Post Falls and others. The lawsuit says Ball suffered a stroke while in jail in 2012.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The city of Boise has opened the Kristin Armstrong Trail for kids in honor of the two-time Olympic gold medalist cyclist. The city held a dedication ceremony yesterday for the half-mile dirt trail that goes around Boise Hills Park. Armstrong, the mother of a 3-year-old, lives nearby and tells the Idaho Statesman that it's a flat trail and good for kids learning to ride.
