IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say an inmate found unresponsive at the Johnson County Jail in May died of hypertensive heart disease.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says an autopsy revealed the cause of death for 47-year-old Gwendolyn Bolen, of Coralville. Those results were released to the sheriff's office Friday.

Authorities found Bolen unresponsive in a cell on May 31. She was not breathing and was pronounced dead a short time later.
