MIAMI (AP) — Two people are dead and multiple people are wounded following a shooting in Miami. Police say the shootings happened early this morning in the Liberty City neighborhood. One rescue official says when police arrived, a large crowd had already gathered and it was an "emotional scene outside with family members crowding around." Police are looking for a motive. There's no word on any arrests.

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — The Islamic extremist group that kidnapped more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls in April has abducted dozens more people. Witnesses in northeast Nigeria say members of Boko Haram have abducted 60 girls and women and 31 boys from villages. One villager says the abductions happened Saturday during an attack in which four villagers were killed. Security forces deny the kidnappings.

IRBIL, Iraq (AP) — The president of Iraq's ethnic Kurdish region says, "we are facing a new reality and a new Iraq" as the country considers new leadership for its Shiite-led government. Kurdish President Massoud Barzani met today with Secretary of State John Kerry, who's pushing the Iraqi government to give more authority to minority Sunnis and Kurds. A Sunni insurgent rampage could throw the country into civil war.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia President Vladimir Putin reportedly has asked parliament to cancel a resolution that sanctions the use of military force in Ukraine. Putin issued a request to parliament in March after Ukraine's pro-Russian president was ousted in February following months of street protests.

JEROME, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in Pennsylvania say two children are dead after a tree fell on their moving car in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Police tell the Daily American newspaper that the car was heading south on Route 403 in Conemaugh (KAH'-nuh-mah) Township when the tree struck the back of the car yesterday afternoon. Two other children, the driver and a pregnant woman in the car were injured.
