EAST LYME, Conn. (AP) — A father who says his 6-year-old was repeatedly molested on her school bus has sued the East Lyme school district and its school bus contractor.

The Day of New London reports (http://bit.ly/1oMK0jh ) the incidents are alleged to have occurred in April 2012. The girl's father says a 9-year-old boy on the bus would pull down his daughter's pants and touch her genitals.

The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, says the school district and bus company were negligent and careless in failing to stop the molestation.

Lawyers for the school district and the bus company did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

A lawyer for the girl's father says the children were the last two on the bus each day and the incidents occurred out of sight of the bus driver.
