The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. MST Thursday.
According to the Department of Transplant, the highway was fully opened late Thursday morning.
The highway is the main route between Phoenix on the south and Kingman and Las Vegas on the north.
