VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Nearly 90 students are home sick Monday with the stomach flu — or gastroenteritis — at Walnut Grove Elementary School in Vancouver.

The school district says many of the absences are some of the 133 students who were ill last Friday or their siblings.

Spokeswoman Pat Mattison told The Columbian (http://bit.ly/1mOFKNu ) an extra cleaning crew worked over the weekend at the school because of last week's outbreak.

Nausea and vomiting have also afflicted student recently at Hockinson Elementary School in Brush Prairie and at Columbia Valley Elementary in Vancouver.
