SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Pleasant Grove woman who crashed into an oncoming SUV while driving the wrong direction on U.S. Interstate 15 has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The Utah Highway Patrol responded to a call about 2:30 a.m. Sunday about a black 2003 Hyundai headed north in the southbound lanes of I-15.
The (Provo) Daily Herald (http://tinyurl.com/mroondt) reports 21-year-old Ashley Pacheco collided with an oncoming SUV at about 500 North in Salt Lake County.
Troops say she injured her leg in the crash. The driver and a passenger in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Trooper Jalaine Hawkes said Monday they are awaiting results of a toxically test to confirm whether she had drugs or alcohol in her system. No other details have been released.
