VEYO, Utah (AP) — Authorities in southern Utah are investigating a fatal ATV accident about 20 miles north of St. George.
The (St. George) Spectrum reports (http://tinyurl.com/lxhj85s) a 17-year-old boy died shortly after the crash about 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper Jalaine Hawkes says two ATVs were involved in the accident on Spanish Trail Drive in Veyo, north of Snow Canyon State Park.
Life Flight and ground personnel responded to the scene and tried to revive the teen, but he was declared dead about 8 p.m.
No other details have been released.
