MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) — Flavor Flav has appeared in a New York court to answer charges stemming from his arrest as he raced to his mother's funeral, but the entertainer's case has been postponed again.

The Long Island native was told Friday he must return to Nassau County Court on July 11.

Police say the rapper-reality TV star was speeding and driving without a license, a felony, on Jan. 9 on Long Island's Meadowbrook Parkway.

His attorney, Indji Bessim (IHN'-jee BEHS'-ihm), says she's still trying to work out an agreement with prosecutors to resolve the charges.

Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, pleaded guilty in Las Vegas last month to reduced charges of threatening his girlfriend's teenage son.

He grumbled Friday that flights from there to New York were becoming expensive.
