OSWEGO, N.Y. (AP) — Officials at an upstate New York college say one student is dead and two others are hospitalized after suspected heroin overdoses.
Police say the three students at the State University of New York at Oswego all overdosed Friday night.
Their names and other details were not immediately released.
SUNY Oswego issued an alert Saturday saying: "Danger: Oswego heroin may be lethal."
The college says the fatal overdose took place on campus while the other two happened off campus in the city of Oswego.
Oswego is on Lake Ontario, about 40 miles northwest of Syracuse.
