BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Prosecutors in a federal bankruptcy fraud trial say a former Idaho prosecutor hid his then-wife's Rolex watch when the couple filed for bankruptcy in late 2010. But John Bujak in opening statements Tuesday says his former wife told him that she'd given the watch to her mother years earlier, and that's why he didn't include it when filing bankruptcy papers. The charges against Bujak carry penalties of five to 10 years each.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 31-year-old Boise woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for aggravated driving under the influence stemming from a crash that injured her daughter. But a judge suspended the 10 years and told Cheyenne Schroeder-Courtois that she can have the conviction removed if she completes 10 years of probation. Schroeder-Courtois will have to serve eight days in jail.
SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Court of Appeals has ordered Bonner County to pay attorney fees for a resident who fought the seizure of $9,050 in cash. Sandpoint police in 2011 obtained a warrant to search the home of Michael Trelby Cunningham Jr. But Cunningham's attorney argued the motion to seize the cash came four days after the 30-day deadline.
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State University officials plan to discipline a sorority for an incident last weekend in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, that involved students urinating in a city park in front of families. The Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority will be charged with violations of the university's standards of conduct.
