CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Natalie Wood has been appointed chief of the Nevada Division of Parole and Probation, returning to the agency where she started her career more than a decade ago.

Wood joined the Department of Public Safety in 1999, working in parole and probation. She rose to the rank of lieutenant before transferring to the Training Division as commander.

She assumed her new role on Monday. Woods replaced Bernie Curtis, who retired in April.

Her appointment was announced Tuesday.
