MINDEN, La. (AP) — Voters in Webster Parish approved renewal of a 10-year tax dedicated to the parish library system.
The Minden Press-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1iR31hE ) the proposal was approved in Saturday's voting, with about 85 percent of votes cast going for renewal.
The 12-mill property tax is expected to bring in more than $2.9 million annually to pay for the library's operations.
