RENO, Nev. (AP) — Amerijet International has announced the opening of its new air cargo hub in Reno.
The Florida-based company says its new western hub will complement its eastern base in Columbus, Ohio starting in July.
Amerijet Chairman and CEO David Bassett says the company is leasing 10,000 square-feet of space for its operations at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
It will use Boeing 767s between Reno and Columbus each day with cargo delivered by ground transportation from major cities.
At a news conference Thursday, airport President Marily Mora said Amerijet is a welcome addition to the region's growing cargo industry.
