They say the state's crow population has been growing and starting to damage fruit crops, and they believe a hunt could help reduce the population and mitigate some problems. The Utah Wildlife Board will hold public meetings around the state starting this month. If approved, the hunts could start as early as this fall.

The order aims to limit the spread of a deadly swine virus that's killed 7 million pigs nationwide in the last year. Officials say the virus has spread to 30 states but has not reached Utah.
