OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Doane College in Crete has launched a program to reward students and alumni who recommend attending school at Doane.

Doane officials say the colleges' Refer-A-Friend Program demonstrates their appreciation to alumni and current students for recommending a Doane education to other adult learners.

Referrals are listed during the undergraduate application process to one of Doane's School of Graduate and Professional Studies campuses in Grand Island, Lincoln or Omaha. Once referred students pass their first class, the college provides a $100 Doane College Bookstore Gift Card to the referrer — up to $500 for five new referred students per term.
