11:45 a.m. STATE DEPARTMENT - WALK FOR WATER 6K — The U.S. Department of State will host the fourth Annual 6k Walk for Water at 11:45 a.m., on Wednesday, April 23, as part of the Departments Earth Day celebrations. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Judy Garber will start the event with remarks outside the Departments 21st Street entrance near the corner of Virginia Avenue, NW. The Embassy of Sweden will host a water stop at the halfway point.
