GOODING, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Rodeo Hall of Fame is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever stole two life-sized, wooden longhorn steers.

The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/Qvfk7k) the wooden longhorns disappeared earlier this week while on display on Main Street in Gooding in south-central Idaho.

Spokeswoman Charmy LeaVell says one of the longhorns was white while the other was painted blue and had a company logo on its left hip.

She says a third longhorn was vandalized.

She says the longhorns are part of a project to raise money to build the hall of fame as well as mentor youth.
