BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Dairymen's Association is asking a federal judge to intervene in a lawsuit challenging a new law that makes it illegal to secretly film animal abuse at agricultural facilities. A coalition of animal activists, civil rights groups and media organizations sued the state last month, asking the judge to strike down the law.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Ada County authorities say no charges will be filed in a March 3 crash in which a motorist died after striking a horse in the road. Ada County Deputy Prosecutor Roger Bourne tells the Idaho Statesman that prosecutors decided against citing the property owners were the horse was kept or the horse owners.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A Blackfoot man and an Idaho Falls boy have died in separate ATV crashes in eastern Idaho. The Bingham County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old David Neff died Saturday when the four-wheeler he was driving went off the road and rolled. Authorities say that at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, 5-year-old Landon Simpson was a passenger on a four-wheeler that went off the road and rolled.

INKOM, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police are investigating after a motorist on Interstate 15 struck a barrel in the road near Inkom in southeast Idaho this morning. Police the driver wasn't injured. The Idaho Transportation Department was called to clean up the spilled material that went over two lanes. Police are looking for the owner of the barrel.
