OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) — Frazier Glenn Cross could face hate crimes charges on top of murder charges. The 73-year-old Missouri man is accused of killing three people in attacks at a Jewish community center and Jewish retirement complex near Kansas City yesterday. The terror monitoring group SITE describes the suspect as a vocal anti-Semite who frequently calls for genocide against Jews. A federal prosecutor says there's enough evidence to warrant bringing a hate-crime case before grand jury.

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah (AP) — A judge has set a $6 million bail for a Utah woman accused of killing six babies she gave birth to over 10 years. Megan Huntsman was arrested yesterday after police found the infants' bodies inside cardboard boxes in the garage of her former home in Pleasant Grove. Prosecutors say the 39-year-old Huntsman is facing six counts of murder. It appears a seventh baby was stillborn.

HORLIVKA, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine is asking for help as pro-Russian gunmen seize more sites in eastern Ukraine. Insurgents have seized or barricaded government buildings in at least nine cities, demanding more autonomy from the new government in Kiev and closer ties with Russia. Today, Ukraine's acting president called the U.N. secretary-general, telling him hundreds of thousands of lives are in danger and asking for peacekeeping troops to help Ukrainian security forces conduct what he calls an "anti-terrorist operation."

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Congressional Budget Office says the Affordable Care Act's health insurance subsidies will cost a little less than previously thought. The CBO estimates they will total a little more than $1 trillion over the next 10 years, instead of almost $1.2 trillion. The cut results largely from tighter cost controls by insurance companies offering plans on health care exchanges.

UNDATED (AP) —Michael Phelps is coming out of retirement, with an eye toward swimming at the 2016 Rio Olympics. His coach tells The Associated Press Phelps is "pretty far" from being in top form right now, but plans to compete for the first time since the London Olympics at a meet in Arizona later this month. The 29-year-old is the most decorated athlete in Olympic history, having won 22 medals over three Summer Games, including 18 gold.
