CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A man has died after being injured in a fight with two acquaintances at a Carson City apartment.
Sheriff Ken Furlong says the man died late Friday afternoon at a Reno hospital, where he was taken after the Thursday night fight at the Stanton Arms apartments.
The victim's name and age were not immediately released.
Two suspects, 29-year-old Alfredo Santiago and 27-year-old Ruri Santiago, were earlier arrested on suspicion of battery causing substantial bodily harm in connection with the fight.
Furlong says both suspects also have immigration holds placed on them for deportation proceedings following resolution of the criminal charges.
The sheriff says investigators have learned the three men were possibly intoxicated when an argument escalated to the fight.
