WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker John Boehner says the Republican congressman caught kissing an aide in leaked security footage has a decision to make.

Boehner says he has spoken with Rep. Vance McAllister but won't share the details of their conversation.

The Louisiana congressman's political future has been in doubt since he was caught on videotape kissing a senior aide.

McAllister is a married father of five and a conservative Christian. He's asked for privacy for his family. McAllister is up for re-election in November.

Boehner said Thursday he expects all House members to uphold the highest ethical standards and says, quote, "and this is no different."
