In 1966, Don Anderson was going to school at USU. And like most college students, money was tight. So, while he was in school, Don decided to do auto body work on the side, as a hobby and a way to generate some income. In just four years, he graduated with his degree in education, but his repair business was going so well he felt his future was decided. That's when he launched Don's Auto Body in earnest, a small operation he ran out of a tin shed behind his mom's house until he moved to the current location at 340 North Main Street in Millville.
Today, almost 50 years later, three of his children, Mike and Matt Anderson and their sister Kristen Gonzalez, are successfully carrying the business into the next generation of leadership and customer care. Don's Auto Body performs nothing but the finest work on repair, paint, auto glass, detailing, paintless dent repair and 24/7 towing.
All of Don's kids started into the business young, helping with chores around the office. The boys couldn't wait to start working on cars and took the right classes in school to prepare them for their responsibilities. Kristen was encouraged to go to school at USU to find out if running the business was what she really wanted to do. After Don got sick in 2001, she came on board full time.
