NEW YORK (AP) — New Jersey Democrats are blasting a new report commissioned by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's office that clears him of any involvement in a political retribution scandal. A state senator whose committee is investigating the same issues says the report "raises more questions than answers" about lane closures that led to massive traffic jams last year. She notes that the lawyer hired by Christie's office at taxpayer expense did not have access to the "main protagonists" in the case.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Ukraine's foreign minister says today's vote in the U.N. General Assembly shows that "the world is united and Russia is isolated." Despite Russia's considerable clout in the U.N., the General Assembly today affirmed Ukraine's territorial integrity, and declared that the referendum that led to Russia's annexation of Crimea was illegal. Still, Russia points out that nearly half the U.N. members either voted no, abstained, or didn't vote at all.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congress doesn't often speak with one voice these days, but it's doing so today. The House and Senate have each approved legislation to help Ukraine and punish Russia. The votes came as President Barack Obama wrapped up a European trip in which he enlisted the support of allies in challenging Russia's move into Ukraine.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says more than 6 million Americans have signed up for coverage through the new health insurance markets created by his overhaul. That's a milestone, fulfilling a goal set by the Congressional Budget Office and embraced by the White House. It's still short of the original target of 7 million. And there's no word on how many consumers have sealed the deal by paying their premiums. Monday is the deadline to enroll in the new insurance exchanges, although many people will still be able to take advantage of extensions announced this week.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Navy officials are offering more information about a civilian truck driver who officials say killed a sailor aboard a destroyer this week at the world's largest naval base. They say the gunman was a Virginia man who records show was a convicted felon. An official identifies the man as Jeffrey Savage. He was killed by Navy security forces Monday night aboard the USS Mahan in Norfolk, Va., after disarming a petty officer and using her gun to shoot and kill Petty Officer Mark Mayo, who was providing security at the base.
