PHILADELPHIA, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The

announced the election of Jay S. Feldstein, DO, as the College's

a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
"I would like to thank the Board of Trustees and the members of the
search committee for the honor to serve as the next President and CEO
of my alma mater," says Dr. Feldstein. "I am truly humbled by the
opportunity to build on the legacy of PCOM's history and mission. This
is a dream come true both professionally and personally."
Founded in 1899, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine has
trained over 15,000 highly competent, caring physicians, health
practitioners and behavioral scientists who practice a "whole person"
approach, treating people, not just symptoms. PCOM offers the doctor
of osteopathic medicine degree and graduate programs in pharmacy,
clinical and school psychology, physician assistant studies, forensic
medicine, organizational development and leadership, and biomedical
sciences. Our students learn the importance of health promotion,
education and service to the community and, through PCOM's Healthcare
Centers, provide care to the medically underserved populations in
inner city and rural locations.
