SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City police say they've arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a pregnant woman 12 years ago.

Authorities say they arrested 48-year-old Ricky Lee Vincent Thursday on suspicion of obstruction of justice.

A probable cause statement says Vincent denied ever talking with the suspect about the homicide case of Aletha Jo Williams. Williams was 25 years old and six months pregnant when family members reported her missing in May 2002.

But the officer who wrote the statement says he interviewed 25 people and has firsthand knowledge that Vincent spoke with the suspect.

Police say they have identified a person of interest in the case, but declined to release the person's name. They say they haven't arrested the person or anyone else besides Vincent.
