TORONTO (AP) — Police say they have arrested a man in a shooting that injured two women at a Toronto university and prompted a campus lockdown.
Police said Friday that 22-year-old Kemon Edwards is facing multiple charges, including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.
Police say they don't believe that the two female students were specifically targeted in the March 6 shooting at York University's food court.
One woman was shot in the leg and was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The second woman was injured by shrapnel.
