NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Northwestern State University's 27th annual Research Day is set for Thursday.

Research Day showcases a broad range of graduate and undergraduate academic and creative endeavors with students offering 15-minute oral presentations on their topics, followed by question-and-answer sessions.

The day also will include musical presentations, a poster session and an awards presentation.

Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for Phi Kappa Phi Student Research Awards that recognize outstanding research, distinguished artistic performance, or creative work completed by a student, or team of students, while enrolled at NSU. Up to two $500 awards are given to the best contributions.
