9:30 a.m. BRADY GUN LAW ANNIVERSARY — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Members of Congress and relatives of victims of gun violence will join Sarah Brady to mark the 20th anniversary of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act and urge Congress to extend background checks to include online purchases and gun show sales. The Brady Campaign will release a report detailing 20 years of "viable evidence" that Brady background checks have blocked more than 2 million illegal gun purchases by felons, domestic abusers, and fugitives.
