This is Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.
The 2014 Legislative Session began one week ago today, and the Chamber has been up at the Capitol advocating for legislation that will benefit Utah's business community as well as the state as a whole.
Our top priorities this year are education, air quality, job creation, transportation infrastructure, health care reform, as well as the proper use of natural resources such as water, energy and minerals. A full list of our policy priorities and accomplishments can be found in our 2014 Public Policy Guide, which is on our website: slchamber.com
The Chamber also has a very handy website you can use to track bills as they go through the legislative process. You can also take action to contact your representatives—straight from the website with already populated messages to let them know what issues are of utmost importance to you. Our public policy blog is also on the website as is a news feed of everything going on during this 45-day legislative session.
You can find the Chamber "Vote" website at slchambervote.com. That's slchambervote.com.
