COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A U.S. Air Force search and rescue helicopter pilot killed in a helicopter crash in England earlier this month has been laid to rest at the Air Force Academy.
Capt. Christopher S. Stover was buried at the academy's cemetery Monday following a funeral Mass in the chapel.
About 100 people attended, including academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michelle Johnson and the head of his squadron.
The 28-year-old Stover is a 2008 graduate of the academy. He is a native of Vancover, Wash. and is survived by his wife Sarah and his parents.
He was one of four Air Force crew members killed when their Pave Hawk helicopter _ a modified Black Hawk _ came down Jan. 7 in a marshland nature reserve on the Norfolk coast on a training mission.
