We've shown you cars with all sorts of sensors, and our highways are on the road toward self-driving cars. Now Ford has taken its sensors 360-degrees. This is the automated fusion hybrid research vehicle. The prototype has the normal stuff, like adaptive cruise control, auto parallel parking, and lane-keeping guidance, but it goes further with what it's calling lidar sensors. They use light to bounce off anything within 200 feet. You get a real-time 3D map of your surroundings. They're so sensitive, they can tell if something in the road is a paper bag or a cat from over 100 yards away.
Save your back with technology! The My-Lifter can heave up to 50-pounds and you control it, of course, with your smartphone. This is on Kickstarter right now for $75 and you can add more winches if you need to handle more weight.
