McALLEN, Texas (AP) - A man wanted in connection with an apartment shooting near Houston that left three people dead was captured Sunday, according to Harris County authorities.

Johnathan Sanchez, 25, also known as "J Boi," was captured early Sunday in east Harris County by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitives Task Force, according to a statement from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Details about the arrest were not available.

Sanchez has been charged with capital murder in connection with the Nov. 20, 2013, shooting at the Peppermill Place Apartments in a suburb 25 miles northwest of downtown Houston.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's office has identified the slain victims as 21-year-old Yosselyn Alfaro, and Veronica Hernandez and Daniel Munoz, both 17. Each was shot multiple times

Two others were critically wounded. Their identities have not been released and no update on their conditions was immediately available.

Investigators believed that the victims had been sitting in a downstairs apartment when the shooting started. Sanchez is believed to have fled after closing the apartment door.

Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said last week there were no signs of forced entry or struggle.

Authorities have not provided a motive for shooting, but they found firearms and a substance that appeared to be an illegal drug inside the apartment. It was not immediately known if Sanchez has an attorney.
