SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) - Authorities say a train slammed into another one at a busy downtown intersection in Sarajevo, injuring some 45 people.

Irfan Nefic, Sarajevo police spokesman, said Friday experts are still investigating the causes of the accident. He said so far none of the injuries were life threatening.

One tram was turning left and ran into another coming from the opposite direction and heading straight. Witnesses say the crash was so intense it knocked out the handles people were holding on to.
