PARIS (AP) - Police have arrested three men suspected of robbing a Rolex store in Bahrain and making off with $1.4 million worth of watches.
A gang of six thieves disguised as women broke into the store after it shut down Sept. 10, wounding a guard and stealing 79 watches.
At Bahrain's request, the Interpol police agency issued wanted person alerts for the three suspects now in custody. Interpol said Friday that one suspect was stopped at the Albanian border a week after the robbery and is now awaiting extradition. Two others were arrested in Bahrain this week and had most of the watches on them.
Interpol would not say if it had also issued notices for the other three suspects or where they were.
