DULUTH, Ga., May 19, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks, who left her finace at the Duluth, Ga., altar last year, apparently won't be walking down the aisle with him anytime soon.
Wilbanks, 33, tells People magazine she and John Mason "have some things to work out," but Mason has reportedly said the wedding is off.
Wilbanks grabbed headlines last year when she faked her own kidnapping three days before she and Mason were to be wed before 14 bridesmaids and 600 guests. After she was found in New Mexico, Mason continued their relationship. Until now, People says.
A friend of Mason's told People the couple had some "fundamental differences in their personalities that (Mason) wasn't going to be able to deal with."
After returning to Georgia last year, Wilbanks was found guilty of lying to police about her "abduction" and was sentenced to two years probation and 120 hours of community service, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said. She has also been ordered to pay the city of Duluth $13,249 for overtime that piled up during search.
