MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Dr. Rexford Kennamer, a physician to the stars whose clients once included some of Hollywood's biggest names, has died in Alabama. He was 93.

Kennamer died Sept. 28 at the house he had shared with his nephew Richard Kennamer in Montgomery. Richard Kennamer told The Associated Press on Tuesday that his uncle had lived with him for the past five years after suffering a stroke that left him unable to speak.

Kennamer had previously worked in private practice in Beverly Hills, Calif., after receiving degrees from the University of Alabama and the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. His clients had included Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson, among other stars.

Richard Kennamer said a private family service is planned at a cemetery in the physician's hometown of Guntersville, Ala.
