Swedish model MARZENA KAMIZELA spent the weekend (13-14MAY06) in a Canadian jail after allegedly assaulting three flight attendants.
The Scandinavian beauty, 32, pleaded guilty in a Labrador, Canada court on Monday (15MAY06) to attacking the air stewards and endangering the safety of the flight on the way from Stockholm, Sweden, to New York City.
The British Airways flight was re-routed to Newfoundland due to the former Versace model's behaviour.
Corporal PAUL MacDOUGALL of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, says, "Because of her behaviour she was restrained physically by the crew. During the course of them attempting to restrain her, she assaulted three of the crew members."
Kamizela has been sentenced to a year probation and will have to pay a fine of $25,215 (£14,000). She will remain behind bars until the fine is paid. (ES/WNWSCOT/JB)
