THE Evening Telegraph has teamed up with Orange to give readers the chance to win the best in new fiction shortlisted for the Orange Award for New Writers.

Launched last year as part of the Orange Prize for Fiction, the award celebrates emerging talent and future potential in first works of fiction by female writers. Last year's winner was We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver, who changed her nameat the age of 16 as she thought it would be more interesting to live as a man.

The authors and books shortlisted for the 2006 Orange Award for New Writers include:

Naomi Alderman for Disobedience.

Olga Grushin for The Dream Life of Sukhanov.

Yiyun Li for A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.

We have got five sets of this year's Orange Award for New Writers three shortlisted books to give away.
