London (dpa) - Former Spice Girl Geri Haliwell, 33, has given birth to a baby girl in a private clinic in London, the Sun newspaper reported Monday.
It said the baby, expected to be called Stella, was delivered by Caesarian in the hospital which has the reputation of being for those who are "too posh to push."
The father of the newborn child, Hollywood scriptwriter Sacha Gervasi, had been "frozen out" of the event, the Sun said.
Haliwell's mother, Anna Maria, was at her bedside during the delivery on Sunday night.
Haliwell, the former Ginger Spice, told Hello magazine before becoming a mother for the first time:
"I'm just hoping this child is more angel than devil's child. To think that it might be one day be going to the equivalent of the raves I went to, or driving away my car without permission the way I took my dad's, is horrifying."
