RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) - Brazilian authorities say a passenger bus has plunged 40 meters (130 feet) off a bridge in a city near Rio de Janeiro.
Firefighters say at least six people died in Wednesday's accident. There was no word on the number of people injured, how many were aboard or how the wreck happened.
The bus ran off the viaduct in the city of Itaguai, about 60 kilometers (38 miles) west of downtown Rio de Janeiro.
In April, a similar incident killed seven people in central Rio when a bus ran off a viaduct after the driver was hit by passenger enraged after the driver skipped some stops.
