ISTANBUL (AP) - Turkey's state run Anatolia news agency says that at least 24 migrants have drowned after a boat capsized in the Aegean Sea 10 miles off the Turkish coast.
The Turkish Coast Guard responded to an SOS call from the speed boat's captain early Wednesday. Video footage taken by Anatolia shows a coast guard boat returning with bodies under sheets on the deck. News reports said that 42 people were rescued, including citizens of Syria, Burma and Afghanistan.
Rescuers were continuing the search.
