The Passing of a Great Man!
It is now 12:15 in the morning I am sitting at Broadcast House answering calls from listeners and thought I have to blog I have to share with you what is happening here at KSL.I usually do not leave till around 8 pm on Sunday evenings but tonight I left right after my show do to the fact that I have to be back in the morning to help on The Doug Wright Show. I get home feed the girls put them in the tub as I am wrapping them in towels I hear breaking news I called my boss and asked him do you need me he said no not yet 10 minutes later he called back and asked me if I could come in and I say Yes of Course.
As I was racing in my car to get to the station I am listening to Doug and Scott and as I am about to cry I think to myself he is finally home, he is with his beautiful wife, he is home and all I can do is smile. I get to the station and I am surprised at how many people are already here, You have to keep in mind working in this business we have to be prepared we have to be ready when something like this happens we all knew it would happen but we are still so shocked. I start answering the phone and start making calls to senators, congress men, mayors etc. Running around like a crazy women as well as the rest of the staff. And now as I sit here answering your calls and listening to the great stories of a great prophet I am touched, and finding myself feeling closer to each one of you through this wonderful man. Thank you for sharing your stories with me tonight or should I say this morning and hope all of us will follow in the steps of President Hinckley to make this world a better place! NO matter what our religion I think we can all agree today we lost a great man. My heart goes out to the family of President Hinckley and may they be comforted knowing he is now home.
