LONDON, May 8, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Heather Mills says reports of trouble in her four-year marriage to British rock icon Paul McCartney are "hilarious."
The rumor mill began churning when Mills took the couple's 2-year-old daughter to their seaside home in Hove last week, leaving her 63-year-old husband alone at their East Sussex farm for five days.
Heather, 38, called the rumors "hilarious," adding, "We're still very much together," the Mirror reported Monday.
Her publicist also chimed in, calling reports of a rift "a load of nonsense," the Mirror said.
The former model who lost a leg in a motorcycle crash said she recently had surgery to reattach some muscle tissue and went to the beach house to avoid paparazzi.
"Some people have been trying to get pictures of me in a wheelchair," she said. "I've had to stay really low so they don't get the shot."
