WASHINGTON (AP) -- About 70-thousand Chrysler minivans are being recalled because of problems with a rear door latch.
Chrysler says the power liftgate latch on some of the vehicles may become stuck in an unopened position, preventing the latch from closing.
If that happens, the liftgate can open while the vehicle is moving.
The recall involves Dodge Grand Caravans and Chrysler Town & Country minivans made in 2003.
Chrysler says no vehicle crashes, fatalities, or injuries have been reported because of the problem.
The company is notifying owners that they can get new liftgate control modules installed for free.
