PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Pacific Seafood on Wednesday recalled packages of a seafood mixture because the label does not warn that imitation crab meat contains egg whites and wheat flour, which could cause life-threatening allergic reactions.
No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported, company spokesman Craig Urness said.
The packages of frozen seafood, in plastic bags, are labeled Pacific Fresh Seafood Mix. They were sold to various retail stores in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Nevada, Kansas, Texas and Utah, the company said in a statement.
The company said consumers can return the product for a full refund.
