Five years ago, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir had a remarkable experience with a young cancer patient that left a lasting impression and boosted the spirits of both the singers and the little girl--Chase Burch.

10-year-old Chase Burch had just had her first chemotherapy treatment at St. Jude's Children's Hospital and her parents thought meeting a few Mormon Tabernacle Choir members might help her feel better.

It was not a few choir members but all of them, filling the lobby and the balconies.

"There was no overwhelming feeling in my life than walking into that room and seeing that lobby just filled with people that were there for my daughter, to comfort her," said Season Burch, Chase's mother.

Five years after that moving moment, a good news update. Chase recently returned to St. Jude's where doctors told her that she is five years cancer free.

To the Burch family, Chase's battle included some remarkable moments, most notably with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

"That whole experience gave us the strength that we asked for that day," said Season Burch. "It gave us hope, it gave us comfort and it was a real answer to our prayers to have the choir come."

"They're not just a choir," Chase Burch said. "They're people who really love to do this and really spend their time doing it and I know that they care. They really do."
