Growers, The vines are stretching out, pumpkins are popping up and the heat is on. The Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers are growing in more ways than one. The giant gourd has created monsters in all of us.
A strong group of growers looking to achieve a new personnel best, a neighborhood heaviest pumpkin or even a new state record. I don't know about you but, lately my Saturday mornings consist of burying vines, feeding, fighting the ever adapting bugs and trying to find time for the real life.... So here is an invite to share in the madness we call a hobby, sport and addiction. So get the patch in order and spend this Saturday morning with the club on a small patch tour.
The Utah County crew will be hosting the first early season patch tour. This will gives us all an up and close look at the many different styles of growing the Giant from the early point of the pumpkins growth. Come join us early, beat the heat and share in the good times and helpful hints. Rumor has it we may have our own state record holder on the tour!
